The North Hertfordshire Circuit is seeking to appoint a new Circuit Administrator based at Central Methodist Church in Letchworth Garden City.
The Administrator will work 3 four-hour sessions a week – with flexibility to attend evening meetings as minute taker.  The work will involve giving administrative support to the Superintendent Minister and to the Circuit Leadership Team.  It will also involve day to day book-keeping duties.
Applicants should:

  • have achieved passes in GCSE level exams or equivalent;
  • be competent in the administrative and bookkeeping tasks needed to run a small office;
  • be able to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel (or equivalent) and email;
  • be open to gaining competence in other software;
  • be efficient, flexible and able to work independently, using their initiative and be a good team player;
  • have a willingness to understand and engage with Methodism.

Level of Pay – Salary in line with Methodist guidelines for lay employees and will be dependent on qualifications.
Holiday entitlement is 5.6 weeks (to be worked out pro rata to hours worked) which includes Bank Holidays.
